Managing Social Services

I feel that the SMART objectives are appropriate as we came up with them after the assessment and planning stage of the GIM framework. During the assessment and planning stage, we concluded through literature reviews that our target population came from area where there were higher numbers of families with lower income and they are susceptible to emotional dysregulation. The SMART objectives were then specifically crafted to address the mental health issue. During the implementation stage, we also revised the SMART objectives repeatedly to ensure that they are feasible and specific enough to measure.
For our evaluation, we conducted it at a group level. We used generalisation, processing and application-based questions for the debrief sessions as our method of evaluation to evaluate if the group has met their goals and understood the contents that were taught.

We had a projected budget of $356.33 but eventually spent a total of $209.49. As we did not manage to use the journals that we printed for them on session 2 and 3, the printing fees were not fully utilized thus inefficiently spent. The centre requested for us to standardize our tea-break items for the third session so we did not manage to use the snacks that were bought beforehand. However, we fully utilized the materials bought within the 3 days and even spent under our budget as during the planning stage, we decided that some of the items could be recycled or found in our homes.
